"Quicksand?"
She stands and tilts her head to the side to think. Again she grabs the flint and steel and makes a few sparks to illuminate the area, if only briefly.

From what she can see with the sparks the sand is a greyish white and made up of irregular medium sized grains. It stretches on around her and here and there she can make out what looks like bones.
The light does not give her any sight of an opposing wall to the one she has been following but she clearly catches a glint a little way away, reflections of the sparks.

"They're here..."
She glances around almost frightenedly, but then she shrugs and walks carefully on to the spot she saw the glint. She keeps making sparks, careful to do so away from her dress and hair.

The glint seems to move as she comes closer and the closer she gets the more glints she see until she feels the sand around her feet getting damp.

Ayadinlani instantly steps back. She frowns at the sand below her feet and slides the flint and steel back in her backpack. She stares at the darkness for a while before she shakes her head and steps forward, very carefully, checking every step before she shifts her weight to it.
"Hello! Anybody here? Hello! Help me!"

Her words carries well and echoes clearly around her. The area seems quite large by the way the sound carries. As she takes a few more steps forward she will feel water at her feet. [Listen check ]

[15 ] She steps back when she feels water at her feet, and stares at the darkness.

She hears the faint sounds of water moving slightly, like very slight ripples on the surface of a large body of water. Then there is the unmistakeable sound of something making a quick move in the water. Then there is silence again save for the faint ripples.

Danger! Ayadinlani does not hesitate now. While stepping back, she rips off her backpack, and holding that in one hand, she pulls off the jacket. She sticks her arms through the straps and puts the backpack on with the bag on her belly at the same time that she takes off and soars through the darkness. Her jacket hanging over the pack, she grabs for the flint and steel and makes a few more spark, away from jacket, bag and hair, in order to see.

The faint light of the sparks shows a large surface of what appears to be an underground lake. The surface is slightly disturbed by the movement but that is the only trace of what she heard; slight ripples moving along from a little up ahead. Some sparks hiss as they hit the surface and go out and she can even make out her own reflection at times but nothing under the surface.

She soars higher, further away from the lake, looking in the faint light of the sparks she makes for an exit, be it a tunnel down there or a hole in the ceiling.

The ceiling appears quite solid and with several rather large stalagtites of the uneven surface, towards the edges they become more closely packed together.
As for cave openings she can see one on almost the opposite side of the lake, in front of it the ground rises from under the surface to form a very small little beach area, about 15ft in diametre, just in front of the tunnel.

"A cave?"
Ayadinlani heads over to the tunnel, peering into the water around the beech, the beech itself and the tunnel cautiously before she sets her feet down.

As she approaches the little beach and the opening both it and the water seem quiet.

She sets her feet down and walks into the tunnel. Might as well. She does not put the jacket back on yet, however.
