Description:
The old town walls of Iora used to encircle the town with a strong stone build, enforced by butresses, towers and well-guarded gates. The kind of town Iora was at that time very few know or care to know. Perhaps the walls were for the traditional defences as so commonly seen around the worlds and planes or perhaps they had been built to keep the wilderness in rather than out. Certainly, the way life went on in Iora today, the latter seemed more appropriate.
Those days are now long gone and only very few sections of these once tall (about 20 feet), thick and impressive walls remain and those are in great disrepair. They are nonetheless not without a certain ancient charm as they stand in defiance of all the modern life around them, covered silently in places by wild ivy. While the ruins of one or two towers are around none of these are entirely complete and none of the old gates survive, tey have been torn down long ago. Some of the towers still stand more or less intact and can be entered at your own risk. Some sections of the walls have arches and little passages making it a nice walk should the weather be nice.
