Hello All. I just thought, I'd make a thread in the general board about fights and Rp's in general. Seeing as most would like to talk about how some might have done things and instead of using PM's and aren't afraid of discussing things openly.

Like Abilities, Hybrids, techniques, etc.....

Feel free to discuss them all here when one feels the need. I intend to learn all I can, hopefully you guys might learn stuff from each other as well Aye?!

Sense we're on the subject of techniques and fighting and whatnot, I'v got a question. Who uses Psionics? Mental techniques like pyrokinesis and whatnot?

Well I've been working for a while with a buddy of mine, and we've developed a type of psionics that uses the power of the mind to take hold of the essence of the world. I use it... a lot.

Now, basically it can't be sensed, seen, heard, or anything. It's undetectable, but it can be seen... well I should say sensed... if a person has high mental strength. So you can actually detect it if you are strong enough, and no one can call godmodding. Cause basically it feels like a wall pounding into you when it hits.

Now here's the thing, I've got into a lot of fights with newbs because my characters are uberpowerful godly monsters. And usually I don't post much when I'm bored. So I get assaulted by newbs. When that happens I go all out and rip out the Arana (Me psionics). They get mad, and say I can't do this and whatnot, and I actually got accused of being a profiler because most newbs don't have a clue how to measure mental strength, and they can't get a valid defense. Plus the fact that most of my techniques come from all directions. So profiling. Isn't that when cops pull over specific people because of race, whealth, etc. So, yes or no, does this seem like profiling against the newbs like they say? But anyway, it's not like most aren't gonna god mod and scoot out of the way anyway.

Depends on the person really man. Someone like me, I would gladly learn more about psionics with more experienced stuff. Even so, the things I do at times I have a minut understanding, but I know whats going on in the process of whats happening. And with psionics developing to use everything?....Psionics already has the ability to control that, just haveing enough mental will in doing so. Most here don't , or would read profiles only if there confused. But none here would name you a ..god-moder, just becuase they wouldn't know things or aspects of attacks or said defenses made out of mental thought.

though some mught think it cheap and alot easier then using practical melee. IS demonic strength, swords, etc...

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I used a technique which Sends forth the brawny, straight, and powerful hand of the Baatezu. This titanic fist would be given the force to crush, shatter, and split bones. In some occasions it could rip through the flesh of a target. This hand moves swiftly and at very high speeds, somewhere around 270 fps. This hand can be manipulated after the spell has been cast, forming a fist, open palm, etc. Now, naturally sense the fist is made of an essence it's almost like it's not there. So when it hits, that's basically the only time most know it's there. Unless they have a powerful enough mind then they might be able to percieve the suttle changes in reality. Now, this hand can come form any direction, and I usually use it to attack from under my enemy. Now, from under somebody at 300 fps, that leaves what, half of a half of a second to get out of the way? Does that seem like god-modding? People seem to think it is, and I actually can find three or four faults to exploit without using any other techniques.

Magic: Dun like it. The only magic I use, is on my Plushie, which might have gotten deleted.

Magical weapons? Not really into them either. Maybeenchanted swords, like..with fire swirls around them or such.

Shovels and stuff? Old school fighting style, I love it. XP

Armor I like, yet I have a couple of human-types that don't have armor.

Psionics I am still working on. A friend and I are actually doing a Psionics that you don't normally see in CC, and I am still trying to master it without God-Modding.

Well firstly, psionics would be....as usuall, a mental ability to attack, defend, etc... If your hand would have even the slight alterations in reality. People who use psionics would probably be able to pick up such things. Much like, when a person "teleports", they always leave a trail.... I believe this "hand" of yours would do the same, in some small way. As for the second or half second availablity to move out of the way m and counter such a attack, I believe only ones who actually have experience should you use this attack against. Psionics is the speed of "nano-seconds" which, done properly , should be ...."ample"...... Time in which to have a defence....but as a defensive capability...well, it would depend on the circumstances of the situation and the attack preference, state of mind, as well as physical abilities of the person, of both mind and reaction times.


Of course, you might go up against alot of bullshitters out there that just B.S. there way through attack, then have you explain it, then they agree to it...@_@..

So to me, you attack wouldn't be God-modding..............More so a pain in the ass.. ^_^;

All my characters are hardcore mages who generally suck at physical combat.

But they only have one or two spells which are fatal, and they usually take up a large portion of energy.

You also don't need to be a genius to detect them, either. It'd be kinda' hard to miss a gigantic globe of energy. I'm very, very unstealthy.

Well, psionics doesn't take much more effort then alot of will power and a large mental status. If ya energy and magiks are all uber and visable..........good on ya ! Keep doing things like that. Its what ya know and I don't really have a probably with that, its not like all of us hasn't shown off a time or two with a big friggin flashy attack or defense. ^_^;

i jsut stick to weapons and physical fighting >.> Wtichcraft and spells, magick and such elementals. nothing greatly confusing cuz i don't actually have a brain

Well, psionics doesn't take much more effort then alot of will power and a large mental status.

Like I said, your character would need to be either psychic or Steve Hawkings. Very few people (if any) can use more than 50% of their brain at the same time. It depends on what you consider a "large mental status".

Our views on "powerful" are different, so our characters will be different. I don't really consider nano-seconds ample time to make a defensive move, either. Bullets don't even go that fast, I think.
