Description:
The old oak is said to be the oldest tree in Iora, which is probably true but then again, that's not difficlt since most trees in Iora has been purposefully planted and with each whim of the city to change they seem to be dug up and replanted all the time. The Old Oak remains from when it grew on open lands. The city slowly spread but somehow no need ever arose to have it cut and now the locals in The Fields place some (though not very great) value to it. It is long dead ofcourse save for the countless insects and small wildlife that use it as a home and refuge.
The Old Oak as also an inn. Logically situated next to the actual oak itself. This inn and tavern being at the outskirts of town is larger than those found in the very centre. It has many rooms and usually several available at any given time. It has apleasant and rather large beer garden and the inside of the tavern is also sizeable, easily seating a good 100 people or so though the numerous nooks and crannies still keeps it cozy with an old English feel to the décor. In winter three fireplaces are seemingly always in use and the bar is the full length of the building with most ales, lagers, porters, ciders, beers, wines, liquors and other random poisons from all over this and other worlds.
