The farmer nods thoughtfully and then shines up as he sees her get down and help turn the horse, he even gets another beaming smile.
"Oh, thanks you. Thank you. Yes, backwards a bit first, yes straight back, ...about four or so yards, yes..."
He carefully maneuvers the equipage and gives her instructions where to go still looking rather happy despite having to turn.
Violar pops his head up with a lazy but curious look at what is going on. The farmer seems to baely notice him.
"Right, yes. Good. A little- yes. Great. Wonderful...." The farmer is enjoying himself almost too much.
In the river, Minnow can see lots of debree floating in the water. More than what can be expected. Quite large branches of trees, what looks like part of a very old and big wooden waggon wheel and even something very soakes and furry the size of a small dog.

Minnow grins happily at the farmer, and follows his instructions carefully. When done, she hops over to the river to get a better look at it. The wagon wheel makes her tilt her head to the side a bit, and she quickly ties the headkerchief over her hair again. But it is not the wagon wheel that grips her interest. It is the soaked and furry. She creeps as close to the river bank as she can safely do, glances around at the farmer, and whispers under her breath. Humming a little, she tries a little magic to tug it close enough to the bank to where she can lift it out.

Rhe river runs fast and the current is quite strong but the wet and furry comes her way, at least for as long as she remains downstream from it. It bobs in the water and rolls a few times and it becomes very clear that it is a black and white little dog. A mongrel. It doesn't move at all of its own accord and appears dead.
The farmer throws her curious looks and stretches his neck curiously to see what she's doing.
"What's that then? Found something? We should really be moving."

The Minnow looks at it, then she decides to try and fish it out anyway. You never know. If she gets it, she deposits it on the ground, and pokes it.
She turns and smiles at the farmer.
"Just a little dog, but it looks dead. I'm coming!"
She pokes the dog again.

She gets hold of the dog, if only barely. It is quite heavy for its size and lies limply on the grass. There is no visible wound or anything obviously wrong apart from the fact that it is most certainly dead. It smells a bit. Mostly like wet dog. It doesn't seem to have been dead for too long. Nothing happens as she prods it apart from her finger getting wet and smelly.
The farmer frowns and wrinkles his nose.
"Oh. Well... better... leave it." He doesn't seem too keen on the idea of a wet dead dog.
Violar looks up and peers over a little curious.
The debris in the river keeps flowing past, another big branch almost the size of a small tree, complete with what once was a bird's nest. There are lots of broken pieces of wood, some carved and some looking like planks and boards.

Poor thing. Ah well. Minnow isn't one to feel lots of pity, so she just gets up and walks back to the cart.
"I was hoping it might still be alive, that's all."
She smiles at the farmer and at Violar.
"Unusual though, isn't it, all this stuff in the river?"
She climbs up the cart and sits on the backrest of the front seat.

Violar looks in the direction of the dog, trying to catch a glimpse of it.
"Was it shot?"
The farmer smiles back a little and then gives her a look of shy uncertainty as she sits down on the backrest, hesitating to speak.
"...uh... uhm... y- ...yes..."
He turned and urged the horse on, getting her to a gallop almost immediately. From behind them there is a couple of thuds and a thunk followed by some muttering from Violar, scrambling back to a seated position.

[Elven] "I don't think so. Probably drowned."
She gives the farmer a radiant smile. When the man urges the horse, she throws up her arms and does another "wheeeeeeeee!"

Violar nods and sinks back in to the hay.
The farmer looks over to her as she makes her happy excited exclamation. He seems to cheer up a bit. He returns his attention to the road for a while and carries on in silence until a thought seems to hit him and he suddenly looks up at Minnow with a slight smile. But he doesn't seem to be able to meet her eyes for more than a couple of seconds at a time.
"So... uhm... eh... you going for the Games then?"

"The Games? Oh! Those! Well, yes, maybe. Would be kind of fun."
Minnow glances back to the cart. She speaks to her brother in Common now, so as not to exclude the farmer too much.
"There's big gladitorial games going on in Fardinn, would you like to go see them?"

The farmer smiles a little to her.
Violar looks up, raising an eyebrow a little to the choice of language. He clears his throat a little and replied in common with a heavy accent. Heavier than Minnows.
V "Uhm... yes... well. Depends on what else there is."
The farmer nods to himself.
D "Aye. I'm not a huge fan myself but lots of people are. Big deal apparently." He made a sort of clicking sound to his horse who failed to react in any discernable way.

"Only if you want to."
The Minnow shrugs, and nods at the farmer.
"Never seen them myself. I'm kinda curious."
She thinks a moment, and then laughs.
"You know, I don't know your name. I'm Minnow."
She grins and holds out her hand to him, hovering it straight under his nose.

The farmer smiles and shrugs and then ju,ps a little at suddenly getting a hand up in his face. He looks at the hand, Minnow, the hand, Minnow and then cautiously takes it. His grip is very gentle and kind of hot. He smiles and blushes again.
"Dervon Tillmaney." He quickly takes his hand back and gives her another slight shy glance.
"Just men beating up men. I don't really see the point. Get the stableboys doing that. And that's for free."
Violar laughs a bit behind them.

The Minnow smiles brightly and shakes his hand quite enthusiastically. It makes her bracelets tinkle.
"Pleased to meet you!"
She laughs.
"That's true. Well, there's plenty of other things to do there too! My brother has never been to Fardinn, see. So we're just going to have a look around."

Dervon smiles and shines up a little again.
"Likewise. Miss Minnow. Likewise." His grin was white and wide.
Up ahead, a good way away but they are travelling quite fast Minnow can see a very small cluster of houses. About six of them, all the same height and more or less the same size. They are surrounded by fields and look very unremarkable in every respect.
Dervon shrugs, still smiling and gives a kind of nod.
"I guess so. I'm not a city person myself. Prefer to stay clear when I can. But the trip is nice." His eyes widened a little as he heard his own words and looked at Minnow with another blush.
