"Afford?"
Taur tilts his head to the side, his arms still crossed. His braid sways from side to side as he contemplates her words.
"...afford?"

She shakes her head, chuckling, and crosses her arms over her chest.
"Qumin is whore. Filias keeps whores."
The Elf looks at Tah with an amused smile and a spark in her eye.
"Sex for money. You pay up, Qumin gets friendly."

Taur grunts.
"For money? Strange people. Why value trinkets over body?"
He thinks for a moment, toying with his braid. He nods, and his hands fall to his side.
"Not different from gladiator. Not much."

Minnow nods.
"You got it. It's better than begging, I guess."
She watches Filias and the customer with a bit of an amused look.

"Kark? Dunno. Haven't seen him."
Filias grinned at Minnow.
"Oh I'm dealing with thisone myself."
The man whimpered and wriggled. Fillias smacked him a few times over the head, each gained a pitiful sound from the man. Suddenly Filias perked an ear and turned to Taur and Minnow again.
"Sure thing, sir. She will be ready in no time. In fact, she is probably already done. Do come inside, sir. Quite the spectacular Lady, she is, my Qumin. If you catch my meaning." He gave a proud grin and suddenly sounded rather nice. "A Gladiator, you say?" he eyed taur up and down. "Well, I say! That makes all the difference. I am sure we can work something out. What Stable do you fight under? Not Tiathin by any chance? Or Wierken?"
The man wriggled again and promptly received a huge fist in the face and went limp. Only held up by Filias who barely seemed to notice, still in conversation with Taur.

"Filias!"
The Minnow rolls her eyes.
"Sheesh. Does he look loaded? C'mon, we'll get inside."
She starts walking to the door and makes a little cooing sound at the dog.
[Elven] "Hey there dog. Do you look like Billin, yes, you do. C'mere Billin junior."

Filias watches them a bit but as they head inside he return to the limp heap in his hands. Much thumping ensues.
The dog stops by Taur and looks at him with a naïve and dim curiousity as if he was trying to figure out just what he is. A moment later it lifts a leg and pees.
The door is still slightly ajar and the familiar inside of the Fifth Glass can be made out. The narrow passage to the back exit which is darker than most parts of the house even, and barely lit at all is dirty and the walls crooked. There are no wallhangings here, indeed nothing but the bare passage with a couple of doors leading off; one to the kitchens and one to Filias' own 'offices' (as he calls them). Further on, passed the narrow stairs, (and through a couple of curtains of stringed beads) it leads on to the frontroom. Heavily scented with something supposedly smelling like roses but doesn't, it just smells like cheap perfume. It is less dark in there though dimly lit and quite smoky. Just as Minnow remembers it. The front room is quite large with plenty of tables, chairs, armchairs, divans and couches. Most of them in dark colours of dark brown or dark red. The walls are dark crimson and black but less bright than Minnow remembers them, not that they ever really were. There are big framed mirrors hanging on two of the walls and the others are draped with what's supposed to appear as fine fabrics and tapestries. Their colours faded long ago. There are two fireplaces in here and though it is still quite warm outside they are both in use making the room quite warm, though not boiling hot. The windows are large and the big heavy curtains are drawn aside showing the square the building faces on to with several other taverns and most of them terribly busy making almost the whole square one big outside serving area. A couple of windows are open letting in the loud happy sounds and the sounds of music of a higher pace than is played by the little Halfling in the corner in here. From outside comes also the odd unmistakeable whiff of roasting meat over a fire.
One length of the room, is mostly covered by a long bar, Minnow comes out behind it. She meets Flik who seems to be heading towards the back door. He throws a glance at Minnow but only continues on without a word. A slightly older and slightly less of a mess Hep is behind the bar, rummaging around on a few low-down shelves. He doesn't look up and seems busy organising a rather insane mess of glasses of various shapes and sizes and state of clenliness. His head is gone in under the bar but from what Minnow can see he seems to have grown a bit, less skinny though still thin and where he'd usually at least stumble if not fall off balance completely he now merely sways a bit.
The room is almost full of men, mostly drinking, smoking, talking and playing cards. There are a number of women swarming around them, a few new faces, three Elven women, two blondes and one with raven black hair. Minnow recognises one of the blondes (currenly pulled in to one of the men's lap) as Khiethin, a Professional from the street. She looks better now with Filias' taste in clothing, they all look rather well. The other blonde Elf is busy dancing (rather badly) in front of a small group of Elven men who for the moment seem to have forgotten their cards. In the room is also Myka, kissing a rather scruffy looking man off in one corner by a fire. Even little Nurat is there and is currently chased around the room by a rather tall Halfling man with an almost wicked looking face and dark features. She lets out the odd playful shriek true to form but it is obvious to Minnow she's not enjoying any of it, as ever. No one seems to take notice of them save for a few of the men who looks up and eyes Minnow appreciatingly. One, a rather young man but well dressed, smiles and winks at her and pulls out an empty chair next to him. The black haired Elven woman with her arms around his neck already, sees this and shoots Minnow a dark look.

The Minnow walks inside without waiting for the dog. She does not wait for Tah, either. He won't get lost, she's pretty sure. Not much. She looks around the place and chuckles, and she gives an appreciative whistle at the sight of Hep. Maybe she can still embarrass him with it.
She laughs at the sight of the young man, and gives a playful wink in his direction- but a very, very careful observer might note that the wink is aimed at the black-haired woman, not the man.
She heads on towards Adeolar's room.

Hep promptly jumps at the sudden whistle and his head flies up in a very loud, and what probably was rather painful, THUMP under the bar.
"Wh- whathe-" he scrambles and almost knocks several glasses off the shelves but manages to catch them somehow. Minnow is already off by the time he has untangled himself from under the bar.
The stairs are black, wooden, narrow and if possible, creakier than ever before. She passes the first floor where the Private Rooms are. Not without sounds escaping from one of the thin closed wooden doors. The next floor is the Quarters of the girls. The corridor is terribly narrow and slopes a bit to the right. The doors more or less fitting in their frames. Adeolar's door looks recently repainted. It is a sort of dark gold as opposed to the usual black. It is closed. No sound can be heard on this floor. The dog hasn't followed.

Minnow, laughing softly to herself about Hep's reaction, climbs the stairs and rolls her eyes at the sounds. She knocks and admires the colour of the door while she waits. Improvement.

The Minnow shrugs and knocks again, then she opens the door carefully.
"... Adeolar?"

There was no sound at the second knock either and as she tries the door it opens, it was apparently unlocked. But then again Adeolar's door always used to be.
The room inside is much like it used to be, not terribly big though it is slightly bigger than Minnow's old room was. The small bed was full of quilts, pillows and cushions of all kinds of colours. The various little tables around the room was packed full of little vials, bottles, tins, tiny wooden boxes and some slightly larger ones. Though there are things in abundance in there it is not messy and the bed is nicely laid and no clothes are lying around. A thin dressing gown hangs on a hook just inside the door and Adeolar's favourite dress hangs on a mannequin over by the wall. The room is murky as the only light that comes in is through the door Minnow just opened though some moonlight is streaming in from the three skylights in the slanting roof. There is an empty teacup of fancy design with flowers on it standing near the bed on the bedside table. Also on there is a myriad of little drawings, some framed. Adeolar liked to draw and had a decent talent. The walls are almost covered in various drawing, scetches mostly made by others and more than a few seemed to have artists no older than about five years. There is a warmth in there as the room is above the kitchen but it only has a very faint scent of Vanilla. Nothing else. There is no one in there.

"Adeolar? Not done yet, I guess..."
The Minnow glances around at the drawings a bit, and smiles. Nice. She steps outside again and pulls the door shut behind her. She heads down to the first floor to catch the woman when her client lets her go.

As Minnow looks around at the drawings there is the unmistakeable sound of the creaking stairs. Someone is heading up them. It is a rather tired-looking Adeolar looking at her heavy multitude of skirts as she negotiates the crooked steps. She is perfectly dressed, as always and her hair is equally flawless. She seems a bit lost in thought and doesn't notice Minnow at first.
