[Minnow from The road goes ever on and on p.7 Pandora from Pandora's Box p.2]
Demmer consists of maybe seven buildings. They are scattered in no particular order. There is no centre as such though a dirt road runs through the centre of it and most of the larger buildings face on to it. On the right are a couple of plain houses, painted in brown with anonymous looking windows and porches. Further on there is a smaller dark red building with a faded sign, it appears to be a small general store. Next to it at the far end is a large barn. On the left there are slightly smaller houses a dentist/tailor/barber and a what seems to pass as an inn rogether with another few anonymous brown houses. Behind them are large gardens and fields with further farms in the distance. There is a dog tied up outside the inn and it barks at them.
It is quiet save for a couple of people heading in to the barn-like inn building with an old faded sign hanging off it.
Just a little way up the road walks Pan, a woman with striking blue hair and a dog at her side and a pack on her back, heading in the direction of Fardinn.
Behind her the cart approaches with a horse, now trotting along, a man that drives, Minnow, an Elf woman sitting next to him and behind them a big pile of hay is all that can be seen. The cart isn't going terribly fast through the hamlet but is at a fair speed. The man slows dow a bit as he comes closer to the woman, not wanting to run her over.

Minnow looks a bit disappointed when the cart has to slow down, but she is rapidly bouncing up and down again. She keeps turning around and around to make sure she gets to see all of the village before they pass through. She gives the woman by the road a shrill whistle.
"Nice hair!"

(Blue black not blue! -snickers-)
Pan was absently humming a old bards song she knew about a common woman slaying a dragon to protect a cowering knight. Her lips pulled up into a slight smile as her dog, Wolfe happily trotted along. The woman turned about as she heard the sound of horses hoofs, and was slightly surprised to see a elven woman. Her surprise showed in her eyes for a split second before she moved off the road to let the cart pass. Not really caring about the people within.
Though at the Elven womans comment, Pan snapped her fingers in front of her large dog, causing him to start barking and snarling at the elf. "Who gave you permission to talk elf? Whats someone of your kind doing here? Aren't your vile race to good to associate with humans?" Pans face was slightly distorted with rage.

The Minnow laughs, setting her hands on her hips.
"Oyee! If we are, I can't imagine why- you're all so friendly!"

Pandora, despite herself broke into luaghter, her anger diminishing at the peppy nature of the elven woman. With a slight shake of her head, Pan relaxed herself.
"Your unlike any Elf I've met before. Most are distant and never very friendly, 'tis why I greeted you like I did." Pandora smiled.

The Minnow taps the farmer on the shoulder.
"Slow down a bit more?"
She turns back to Pandora.
"Where are you going, anyway, Human?"
She winks at the mention of Pandora's race. Obviously, she does not intend offence.
"We're heading down to Fardinn, and I'm sure Dervon wouldn't mind another hitchhiker... Do you, Dervon?"
The Elf looks down at the farmer with a winning smile.

Dervon looks up as she taps him on the shoulder, he nods and slows down further, looking over curiously at Pan.
He watches the two back and forth as they speak and then eyes Pan over for a moment and then shrugs.
"I guess not." He offers Pan a slight unsure smile. "You better jump up, lass. It's getting late." He gestures to the big pile of hay behind him. Where another Elvish head pops up as Violar gets curious of what is going on. He looks over the edge of the cart over at Pan. The minute he sees her he looks down a little before giving her a second shy look.

"Yeah, hop on."
Minnow flashes Dervon a smile, then with a sudden burst of energy she hops back and into the hay, herself, clearing the seat by the driver for Pan. She settles in the hay, her head resting on her arms from a place where she can see everything going on. Her hips are dancing and her right foot is tapping a rhythm in the hay. She winks at Violar.
[Elven] "It's alright, brother. She won't bite, and if she does you can bite back."

Dervon gives a slight smile back that turns a little saddened as she hops back in the hay. He turns to look at Pan. The horse throws her head, eager to get going again.
Violar raises an eyebrow but doesn't look at her. Just picks a straw and plays with it, almost sulking a bit.
Once Pan and the dog hopped on board the cart Dervon had it moving again. Urging Bella on a bit more to a full gallop. She seemed only too happy to oblige.
Violar mused to himself with the straw.

Pandora grinned at the two elves, she understanding the langage spoken between the two. [Elven]"Nope! I don't bite at all! Well... not much!" With a snigger, Pan hopped abourd the cart, Wolfe hopping into the back witht he two elves. Pan turned towards them as the big dog wagged his tail happily at the. "He's real friendly with people I like." She said simply.

The Minnow turns to Pandora and laughs.
[Elven] So you speak a decent language!
Pan will find, though, that there is a particular accent in the Elvish that they speak- it is certainly not a High Elvish sort of tongue, but there is a lot of peculiar slang in it. Without hesitation, Minnow bends towards the dog and scratches behind the ears. Then she addresses her brother.
[Elven] It shouldn't be long now.

[Taur from Heat of Battle p. 7]
The sun is set and the sky is rapidly growing dark as they enter Fardinn. The Gate Guard giving them a look of "what took you so long - go on the get in before we change our minds" and the gate actually begins to shut a little while after they get inside, only just making the curfew.
The streets are lit by lanterns now, lighting up the place together with the light from numerous windows. Though the streets are less packed than during the day there is still very much life around and of a different kind than during the day. People move slower, more relaxed, voices are louder and laugh is plentiful, people walk in pairs or groups rather than alone.
Fardinn isn't an 'ordered' city as such. It doesn't have neat districts, one for residency, one for markets, one for revelry... no it is mostly a complete mix. And Minnow recognises it well. While there are residential districts, two of them in fact, they are the slightly wealthier areas that keep their part of the city 'tidy' because they can. Otherwise shops, taverns, inns, butcher's, green grocers, armouries, undertakers, living quarters, stables, temples etc can all be seen to some degree on most main streets. The slightly narrower streets and alleys are all residential with the odd hidden gem of a 'watering hole'.
There are districts however and each have a slightly higher percentage of it's paticular trade. Minnow knows the Southeastern district of Vyne rather well. It is the part of town that will be most alive during the nocturnal hours with the highest number of restaurants, taverns, inns, pubs, whorehouses, street theatres, theatres and so on.
That is not exactly the direction Dervon seems to be heading in. He crosses the Emdin, heading Southwest, roughly in the direction of Miylath District that borders on to Vyne. It is near that border The Alectis is situated. There are lots of banners and notices up on the streets about the upcoming Games and more than a few groups of people has stopped by one or another and are in a highly dedicated discussion on Fighting Styles and famous Gladiators.
Up ahead the Arena is coming up. As they turn a corner a little way away from the river the massive structure comes in to view. The wide treet that runs around it is less busy thouugh the trade shops seem to still be in business. There are some people walking around, mostly heading in and out of the shops. There is two more carts of hay and straw heading in the same direction as them and there are two rather strong looking men heading in the opposite direction, passed them. One of them laughing and pointing somewhere ahead, the other has unusual facial tattoos.

The Minnow sits up straight when they approach the arena, and laughs.
"How pretty you are, Alectis! And not a blush- you attention-whore!"
She laughs again, and climbs over the hay to the front of the cart.
[Elven] "Violar, this is our stop."[/]
"Dervon, I owe you one, you're a sweetheart. Thanks for the ride. Maybe I'll see you again sometime, hm?"
The Elf bends over and gives him a quick peck on the cheek, then she hops over the wooden railing of the cart and onto the street. Her hands on her hips, she waits for her brother to get off, and the human girl too, should she get off. One of her feet is tapping a rhythm and she is swaying a bit in something of a dance. Somewhat off-handedly, she gives the two men a mischievous smile and a wink.

Taur nods in response to Jared's comments. Yes, he could do without the man down his back. He was also interested to see what Jared was leading him to. He wondered if he should be worried about the place, as the way Jared was smiling hinted that the place was special in one way or another.
Shrugging, he walked with him anyways. What was life without a few risks?
He walks on, noticing a woman with a dance in her step. Though she herself did not spark much interest (just another face in a place that was full of them) her movements and the weapons at her side did catch his attention. Hm, she also had sharp ears. He had never encountered that before, though he had heard of it. He couldn't remember the name of the race that belonged to. It was never important.
He nods to her, but doesn't say anything.
