General
I will mainly follow the 3.5 edition of the D&D rules as those are the books I have. If you want to use some fancy new class/race/spell/feat/whateveritis from books like The Complete Arcane or Complete Warrior you will be asked for copies of the relevant entries (unless I already happen to have it ) as I will need to know how it fits in. If I don't know what you're talking about, you can't do it. Some rules in the game are House Rules that I have, but they are few.
Resting and Spell preparations
For those classes who retrieve spells once a day this is on top of you racial need for rest. Humans need 8 hours for a full nights rest, Elves 4, Half-elves 6 everyone else sleep like Humans. A wizard needs an hour, bards and sorcerers 15 minutes, Cleric as long as it takes them to do a good proper prayer (at least 15 mins). So for a Human Wizard to rest and prepare: 9 hours is needed... etc
Combat
Once initiative is rolled it is important that you remember not to post beyond your round and that you do not take more action than you are allowed. The PHB runs through exactly what action demands how much of your round. A round is 6 seconds.
XP
Experience points will be awarded at the end of each Game-day (that is when all your characters finally lay down for some quality snoozing). It will be based on encounters and roleplaying.
XP penalty - If any nasties such as Metagaming, cheating and that kind of anti-funness emerges I won't hesitate. Regardless if that means the character in question falls out of balance with the others. We all wanna play fair now.
