Taur smiles slightly and gulps down the rest of the drink. He looks at the tankard for a bit, then shrugs and decides to take it with him. He walks after the sounds of the wagon.

The horses emerge around the corner followed by the heavily laden waggon, steered by Artanis with a face of thunder, throwing a black glare at Taur. They weren't moving very fast but he didn't slow down any further for Taur.
The others seemed to be inside save for Jared who was sitting next to Artanis, a straw in his mouth and leaning back comfortably with his face up towards the late afternoon sun.

Taur sped up, running after the cart and climbing on when he reaches it. Then he lays down and stares at the sky, placing the tankard in a bag. He didn't say anything, just stared at the sky.

The waggon jolts about more than usual, the trademark reckless commanding of the horses of Artanis in a foul mood. It makes Taur's head bump to the floor a few times.
The sky is gradually growing a bit more blue rather than the blinding white from earlier though it is still hot. There are a few brave swallows darting back and forth over head for a few minutes before they are gone.
Kynak appears next to him after a moment and looks at him almost expectantly with what passes on him as verging on a smile. He sways a little as the waggon jeers from side to side a bit and three or four curses can be heard from up front and then the unmistakeable sound of the cracking of a whip.

Taur frowns and sits up after he hits his head for the third time. As hard as his skull was, he did not look forward to seeing if Artanis can split it into five different pieces by the time they reached the city.
He frowned at Kynak as well. He wondered why the man had to hound him all the time. He might never know, really...
He glances at the others, then slides forward a bit to look at the road ahead. He would see this city. He would know it, and what made it so special.

Kynak didn't seem to notice the frown, if he did he ignored it and continued to watch Taur in silence.
In the far distance, and off to his right Taur can see the city emerging behind the hills. Not much of it can be made out yet but some of the walls and towers are visible.
Further up the road is another wagon traveling a bit faster than themselves though not terribly fast. There are also several people on foot. Some walking alone and some walking in pairs, one group of three, all up ahead.
Kynak gives him a hard shove.
"Huw'd you get that ale, Tah, eh?"

Taur watches the city rise over the hill, not particularly interested in much else... up into he is shoved. He loses his balance for a bit, growling at Kynak. Never a moment of peace.
"Took."
He shook his head and turned his attention to the other wagon, a bit interested in them now that his attention was diverted.

Kynak laughed. A low and growling laugh, seemingly quite pleased with the answer. He gives Taur a punch on the shoulder, probably intended to be joking but much like usual it is quite rough.
The other wagon is covered and not much can be made out save for two people sitting on the back of it dangling their legs over the edge. One is dressed in a pale dress and the other in just a pair of dark trousers. They sem quite young, maybe 13 - 15 years old.
Suddenly the wagon Taur is in makes a bigger jolt than before and the sound of the horses hooves gets louder and more rapid, they seem to be speeding up. The whip cracking again. And then again.
K "I never got one. Guess they didn' mind you."

Taur was of half the mind to jokingly decapitate Kynak. He restrained himself, however, and kept an eye on the other wagon, frowning when the wagon begins to bounce even more. He wondered if they would ever actually make it to those towers in the distance, or if Artanis would run them off a cliff or some such.
"Convinced them. They not mind after that."
He hoped Kynak would remain quiet after that, but it was a fragile dream.

Kynak let out another laugh, though thisone was louder than the one before.
"That's the way! That's the way! Ain't it, eh?" He briefly turned to Grig and gave him a shove. The dozing dwarf growled and glared death back at him.
Kynak ignored it and gave Taur another shove.
"How'd you convince them, then?"

Taur's only reply was a long suffering sigh.

Kynak slumped down with a loud krash to the floor. He shook his head and suddenly the smile was gone from his face as if it had never been there.
K "Tasto mernath k'ellientha." He grumbled to himself.
G [Dwarven]"Insane. Get out of my sight."
Grig gets up and moves away, giving Kynak a dark look.

Taur glances at Kynak, wondering what he just said. The language sounded a bit... bad to him. That was all he could think of, when hearing it. He didn't like it, just as he didn't much like Kynak himself.
He edged a little away from the man, knowing that he was dangerous and not to be messed with, particularly in a mood swing such as this. He has yet to recieve that man's ire, and he did not intend to be the target now.
After awhile, he turned his attention back to the city, wondering what it would be like there. Would the pit fights be bigger too, or would it all just be the same?

The city is in a clearer view. Tall stone walls rise around it though there are scattered buildings outside them. There are many towers and they are quite close together compared to the defences of any other town. There is one gate within sight and it is still some way away. On the front there are many colours, looking a bit like there are very large banners or flags. The road is getting increadsingly busy. Some people on horseback going the same way, towards the city but more and more seem to be coming out and face them.
Kynak leans his head back a bit and closes his eyes. After a quiet while he begins to whistle between his teeth a bit.
Jared up front picks up the tune and whistles along a bit louder. Causing Kynak to throw a hard glare his way.

Taur smiles, finding Jared's act a little amusing. Other than that, he kept his eyes on the gates and the towers... trees of stone and metal. These people were not content with remaining with the world. They had to build far above it and reach to the heavens. Strange people.
He contemplated trying to whistle it as well, but he could not carry a tune all that well anyways.
