Brad turns and watches Elan greet this new woman with a raised eyebrow and a small smirk. Well, she was pretty cute. Overall, he prefered Elan, but hey, if he had it his way, he would avoid women and idiot hormones as much as possible, but hey, the line of business didn't allow that. Besides, what fun was a life without trouble, grief, despair, so forth and so on?
Right. Bliss.
Grumbling, Brad looks around, scanning the shadows to make sure this was the only unexpected visitor in the street. It'd really suck to be ripped apart by shadows and the like.
A moment or two later, he glances down. Feline? Almost as troublesome as women. He reached down and pet the little furbound critter.

Aylor purrs happily and closes her eyes at him a number of times. C'mon human, c'mon c'mon, food... She even stands on her hind legs a bit too catch his hand when it is too high up. This guy had better deliver the goods, with all the energy she is putting in this. C'mon human. You know a good place for a sardine or two, yes? A herring? You'll give the cute little pussycat a juicy fish, yes? Don't you think this adorable creature deserves a fish corpse to mutilate and devour? Be a good human now.

A small smile turned upa t the corners of her lips. Angel's arms moved to enfold Elan, her silvery orb closing for a moment. She never thought she'd feel happiness or contentment again, but here it was. When her eyes opened Angel saw a glimpse of mistrust in Elan's eyes. This issued a slight frown.
Then again what could she really expect? Going away without a single damn word....
"El... I'm fine. I needed to leave.... Aun was... horrible to deal with. He would not get off my back for commiting myself to my sire physically and mentally. I meant no harm to come to you my dear."
Her words were spoken with the grace of a well practised seductress. A white hand gently went across the silkyness of Elan's hair, her silvery orbs caressing the line of her neck. Angel was a vampiress, she would never feed off of this dear, dear friend of hers... but she could dream of it.

Brad raised a thick eyebrow, arms crossed over his chest as he watched the two. He cleared his throat.
"Ya know, as much as it's one of my greatest fantasies to watch two woman happily embrace each other and get right friendly in public and not mind me while they do it, can I maybe get us moving again? Not all the places out here are safe, and I like to move. Move is good, move is friend.
Of course, ya can just ignore me and continue getting friendly. At least I'll die happy."

Elanorîn frowned at hearing about Angel's problems with Aunintra though the way she said it she couldn't say she was surprised that he had reacted. Not in the slightest. She was rather surprised Angel had done what she obviously had done after all she knew she had been through and felt for Aunintra.
She didn't like the seductress that had suddenly taken hold in Angel. It was a completely alien part of her close friend and she didn't like seing it aimed at her at all. In the way she touched her hair, tone of her voice and the way her eyes fell to her neck. Elanorîn promptly took a step back. She wasn't about to bring it up but she hoped her move was plain enough. Angel was changing a bit too much. As for the feeding... she had made her point on that issue long ago. It was not about to change. In fact. Now under Cythis, she doubted she even could give consent without him even if she wanted to. The thought was actually comforting, she knew he would never even consider such a thing.
As Brad spoke it just confirmed Elanorîn's thoughts that Angel's moves had been inappropriate. The talk about Aunintra would have to wait, this wasn't the place. She smiled that honest warm smile of hers.
"As long as you're alright."
She turned and her smile widened a little more at the sight of the cat.
"Yes. We are on quite an important mission, care to join us, Angel?"
She walked back up to the cat and petted her. Food was coming.

Aylor purrs and graciously allows the petting. She doesn't care what those humans get up to- after all, it's probably beneath her: what can you expect from beings that don't even have the decency to lick themselves clean?- as long as she gets her food. She paws clawlessly at the woman's hand.
Food had better be.

Angel's attention now focased upon this man who Elan was with. She arched a brow slightly at his words. "I can maybe make that fantasy come real in a differnt way.
Her attention though was switched again as Elan backed away. The surprise would be plain upon her face. That was a move she hadn't expected. Angel nodded slightly as Elan invited her to join her and the man.
Angel was thinking that she might be able to grab a quick meal off of some unsuspecting female. A smile turned up on her lips. She might not be able to gain any satisfaction from Elan or this male but this could work to her advantage. "Lead the way my dear."

"Sounds pleasant. Anyways..."
Brad shakes his head and turns towards one of the many alleys, walking down it and listening to the two women as he goes.
Great, now there was two of them. What the Hells was he going to do now?

Elanorîn snapped a sharp and disapproving glare at Angel's words, more than a little surprised by her attitude. This was not just far from the Angel she knew, this was her exact opposite. She was starting to wonder where in that person walking by her that friend she knew and loved so dearly was. What on earth had happened to her?
She crouched down and picked up the little cat again to resume the hunt for food. She followed Brad down the alley quietly. She didn't quite know quite what to say and therefore didn't say anything. She was growing uncomfortable in this and with Angel here that was something she had never felt before... not in this way... not even that fateful night in the Tavern she will never ever forget.

Angel felt the disapproval. She understood that Elan was getting quite uncomfortable with her attitude. With a gentle inaduble sigh, Angel dug through her mind for what she might have said before. It didn't take long for Angel to place a amused smile upon her lips and gently poke Elan's side.
"Oh come on! Ellie, you know me! I was joking!" She grinned, hoping Elan would buy it. The last thing she needed was the be completely snubbed by her old friend.

Elanorîn petted the grey cat a little, half to calm the hungry cat and half to focus on something that felt vaguely normal. Angel was acting strange.
A moment later she got a poke in the side and she looked up at Angel. That sounded alot more like the friend she knew but she couldn't help but wonder if that was really her true self anymore. There was something in the way she looked and dressed, something in her eyes. It was almost like looking at a stranger at times. She offered a warm smile but didn't say anything. Perhaps she had been joking, perhaps not. But the Angel she knew would have loudmouthed Brad until he either backed down or just gave up, not propositioned a fictional threesome! With her. Just the idea of Angel, a friend she considered as close as a sister and all the family Elan would ever have, thinking of her in such a way made her stomach turn. That kind of thought just shouldn't even emerge in Angel's head... surely...
She walked on in silence.

Grumbling quietly to himself, Brad turns a corner and leads the two to a pet food store. He couldn't very well continue with his original plan. The other woman made him a bit edgy, even as her voice was slightly comforting. If anything, that made him more edgy. He didn't trust no one, and he felt inclined to trust her.
Which made him automatically assume she was either screwing with his head, or she was something that did so without too much effort.
Grumbling again, he pushes the door open and walks into the store, groans, turns around, and pushes the door open for the other two after it slams in front of their faces.
Bah, manners.

Elanorîn eyed the pet food store and nodded a little. She guessed this would do.
As the door came to shut right in front of her she stopped and reached out to catch it with her free hand just before it shut completely without much surprise. As she began to push it open again she felt Brad pulling it open for her. She looked up at him with a slight amused smile.
"I got it, Brad."
She was never one to expect any chivalry of any kind and had pretty much expected the door to come shut after him. She noticed his rather significant change in moods and returned her attention to the cat. Perhaps he didn't like Angel. He had seemed pretty easy going before. She petted the cat as she walked on inside, looking around.

"Sorry bout that. Not used to that kind of stuff."
Brad mutters a bit under his breath and glances at Angel again. He whispers quietly to Elan as she walks through the doorway.
"I know ya know her an all, and that this may not be what ya want to hear, but can ya trust her? Nod for yes, shake head for no, tilt to the side for not sure, or kick me in the crotch if I offended ya. I usually get the latter, fancy that."

Elanorîn had her eyes set on the numerous shelves inside and just gave a slight polite smile and a shrug at Brad's comment. Hmmm... nothing dried, no that won't do. She suddenly became aware that he was whispering to her and with a surprised look in her pale blue eyes she turned her head and looked at him with a blank incredulous look that didn't seem to say anything at all. Her hand that was petting the mangy cross-eyed cat slowed down in its duty to please the little feline.
Could Angel be trusted? That was no easy question he had thrown out just like that. Any other time and Elan wouldn't have had any doubt and she would have even got a little offended. Angel was virtually family. She trusted her with her life. Or at least... she used to. This person still... well... it didn't quite feel as if it was really Angel. She didn't even quite look like her. The voice, the words, the look. She had never seen a turning before, perhaps this was normal, she didn't know. She couldn't know. Couldn't be certain.
Her eyes eventually tore away from Brad without having done either of his suggestions, she wasn't inclined to answer that question. It was hard enough to take a stand on that in her own mind, no less start telling virtual strangers. Perhaps Angel was just having a rough time. Things had been so up in the air since she returned after having been away for so long.
She walked passed him and up to the counter and waited to be served. She put the little cat down on the counter and petted her. Fish. Yes, cats love fish. Some fresh raw fish.
